I'm conflicted...

September 11 left lower Manhattan simmering in a diaphanous fog of hatred and intolerance. It left the remnants of nearly 3,000 people and a symbol of American power and presence obliterated. All of this was done by the closed fists of Islam. Since then, the nation of Islam's defensive strategy of painting a picture of peace and serenity, as victims being misrepresented by zealots not following the holy book, is the irony of that horrific morning. There are nearly 1.6 billion Muslims around the world. I know, without a doubt, there are Muslims kneeling toward Mecca and worshipping Allah without the pretense of hatred and intolerance for infidels on their breath. But, as an American, as a patriot, and as a Christian, I struggle with a myriad of emotions. This ambivalence comes from countless acts of terror around the globe, almost exclusively in the name of Allah, constant reminders of hatred for our America in the long lines of airport security, counter-terrorism, Homeland Security and a relentless war to prevent the dismemberment of little girls, like the one above, by the godless hands of the Taliban. Some people argue religion is not flawed, but people are. I think all religion is flawed since it's conceptualized by people. Regardless of the denomination or preference, Religion has lead to more death than any war. Christianity, sadly, being among the most devastating. I, nor anyone before me, can alter the horrific acts of the Crusades, or defend the horrors of the Roman Catholic Church, among others, through the years. However, this isn't the 12th century. We're a land of punitive law and a people of God's Law. Our President is right. We cannot forget the principles which lay the foundation for this great nation. We cannot turn our backs to tolerance and religious freedom no matter how much it stings our prideful souls and mourning hearts. However, President Obama missed an opportunity to finally be the leader he promised this country he would be. He had an opportunity, at a dinner celebrating Ramadan, to challenge the Muslim community sharing our country to demonstrate exactly what they were celebrating: asking forgiveness for past sins, praying for guidance and help in refraining from everyday evils, and trying to purify themselves through self-restraint and good deeds. A good deed would have been to understand and sympathize with the many thousands mourning, whether justifiably represented or not, in the wake of Islamic terrorism. I cannot help but visualize a 100 million dollar structure that stands on ground so close to ground zero, landing gear crashed through its interior, as a trophy of triumph, strength, and the steadfast adherence to Allah's war against infidels and America. Our President isn't capable of speaking on my behalf. He doesn't share my passion for this country. He doesn't share my passion for my God. I would vehemently defend the right to build that Mosque based on the law of this country. I would defend any man's freedom to worship in this country. I shiver to think of Obama's words while addressing the tolerance of a Nativity Scene being built on the grounds of an Islamic Community Center devastated at the hands of Christian or Jewish terrorism.

9:5 "... fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war) ..."

An excerpt from the Koran. You be the judge, but tolerance and turn-the-other-cheek aren't the first things that come to mind.

This seems way cheaper than a Blackberry, May I have one?

If any of you don't follow politics, or know what the differences are between Democrats and Republican, this is one perfect example.

Democrats support free cell phones for people that don't have good jobs, aren't responsible with the money they do have, and/or take money in the form of Welfare from the people that do the direct opposite of the things I just listed.

Republicans support DO NOT support cell phones for people on Welfare. To take it a step further, I would support not being able to vote if you're on Welfare. I would support not being able to buy a lottery ticket, beer, wine, or liquor if you're on Welfare. In fact, it should be a crime. I would support that if you're on Welfare and you have children, you can't have a cell phone, unless it's used strictly for emergencies. I know some of you think I'm a heartless dick, but truthfully, it's going to take a leader with ideas like this to get America back on track. America isn't built on handouts. It's not built on the foundations of getting something for nothing. It's built on religious freedom, capitalism, and being able to come from nothing and build an empire. Obama ran his whole campaign on HOPE AND CHANGE. Hope is sitting around doing nothing, but expecting something. If you voted for Obama, you simply cast your vote for a President that used you. He either used your hopelessness and laziness if you're on welfare to further his political power, or your guilty compassion, affection for a Marxist/Socialist society, or just your overall and general cluelessness to further his political power. In any case, he got what he wanted, have you? Didn't think so.

You mean we're not stupid?

WASHINGTON (CNN) – For the first time since he took over in the White House, Americans don't see eye to eye with President Barack Obama on the important issues, according to a new national poll. But the CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey does indicate that a majority approve of how Obama's handling his duties as president.

According to the poll, which was released Tuesday, 48 percent of people questioned say that they agree with Obama on the issues that matter most to them, with 51 percent saying no. That's a switch from April, when 57 percent said they agreed with the president on important issues, with 41 percent disagreeing.

"Obama is facing crunch time on a number of controversial issues, from health care to financial regulation to cap and trade to Afghanistan," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "The fact that most Americans no longer agree with him on important issues makes his task harder."

Could there be hope that America has started to see through the celebrity smokescreen? If a CNN poll is reporting this, one has to assume that it's probably even more drastic. America doesn't want larger government control. America doesn't want their health care rationed by the Federal Government. People doesn't want their taxes increased to fund failing government programs like Medicare, Health Reform and Social Security. If you're one of the people that doesn't see the ineptitude in government run programs and organizations, get a cancerous tumor in a government health care facility and you'll find out real quick. The truth is, America is tired of party politics. We were all sick of George Bush and his administration, but just when we thought it couldn't get worse, Obama was elected. Since then, he's completely buried this country in debt from excessive, frivolous and ineffeicient spending to fund an expanding Federal Government and a far left Socialist ideology. After an energy bill that penalizes corporations through higher taxes hidden in pointless environmental penalties, his focus has been on a government controlled Health Care Reform Bill that burdens the American taxpayer into apathy and mediocrity. These are not the principles America was founded on, nor are they the prinicples of the working people of today's America. If you decide that receiving handouts from a government that passes legislation to keep you dependent and poor is easier than working, you deserve what you get. Your government is essentially buying your vote by offering you an insulting stipend that keeps you perpetually dependent, helpless, and brainwashed into being loyal to a party that does nothing but prey on your thirst for more empty promises and your government induced poverty. How could a party that promises to take care of the "misfortunate" actually benefit from bringing you out of poverty? That's rhetorical because they wouldn't; therefore, keeping you dependent and hungry for handouts epitomizes the foundation for the Democratic party's agenda and power seeking ideology. If you're not pissed off at the party that hates and discredits you, you've obviously given up on life. I've always heard you can take the top 75% of wealthy Americans and give it to the bottom 25% and in a matter of time, the numbers would be right back where they started. I can believe it.

I've heard of fiscal irresponsibility, but give me a break.

According to a story by Drudgereport.com, the economic stimulus aka (Economic ream us) package contains 330,000,000 in STD prevention. 330 million? I've never heard anything more ridiculous. STD prevention? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? I couldn't care less about rotting genitals. STD's will be the least of our worries if the credit crisis isn't addressed and inflation/deflation is controlled. Furthermore, the only group of people that need STD awareness programs are the bathroom stall foot tapping members of Congress. It's funny, if you look up the origin of the word, Congress, you'll find it's Latin for "Coming Together." I couldn't think of a more appropriate term. No wonder they feel the need for STD prevention. Democrats will find a way to waste your money. In the worst financial crisis in nearly 90 years, democrats make HPV and Herpes relavent. That's truly amazing.

Democrats may have eliminated provisions on birth control and sod for the National Mall in the "job stimulus" -- but buried on page 147 of the bill is stimulation for prevention of sexually transmitted diseases!

The House Democrats' bill includes $335 million for sexually transmitted disease education and prevention programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Fatonce will sing for the President.

It seems that either the Obama's hearing are almost completely shot, or their taste in music is horrendous. Etta James' At Last, one of the most timeless, romantic, classy songs of all time will be performed by Beyonce "Crisco" Knowles at the inauguration celebration. She also performed this number at the Kennedy Center a few months back and boy was the audience treated to an epic performance. And by epic, I mean similar to hearing a wounded wildabeest fighting on the Serengeti for his life against a pride of lions epic. This pitiful excuse for entertainment is the worst singer on earth. She sings like she's attached to one of those belts from the 1970's that were supposed to help you lose weight. All they really did was vibrate and shake you into a sweat. I would almost bet 250.00 that she wouldn't even get to Hollywood on American Idol. She was by a mile the worst singer in Destiny's Child. If it weren't for her 38" extensions, mile wide ass, and decent face, she would be taking orders at Burger King. Instead, she sings for our President. I'm embarrassed for our country. I would rather hear Wiliam Hung sing Ricky Martin.

I leave you, hoping that the lamp of liberty will burn in your bosoms until there shall no longer be a doubt that all men are created free and equal.

This is one post that won’t be prefaced with some ironic or clever picture. This is dedicated to the millions of Americans that stood in lines and made their voices heard on Tuesday. Regardless of your ideologies, your race, gender, sexual orientation, or your party identification, we have a new President that has promised change to this great nation through unity and hope for a better tomorrow. What I promise to do is something that the democratic left hasn’t done in 8 years and that’s being righteous and respectful regardless of our differences. We as Americans, and Barack Obama as our President elect, deserves more class and fairness in our defeat than the liberal left has shown in their bitter tirades directed toward George W Bush and the GOP over the last 8 years. My guess is, even in victory, the hatred and intolerance they [liberals] speak so unfavorably of, will undoubtedly rear its ugly head. It’s this anger that’s dividing this country further and creating a landscape that is the direct antithesis of what Lincoln spoke about and Obama quoted in his victory speech:

“We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection.”

There are bright spots on the immediate horizon, however. Race baiting and reverse discrimination are over. Never again can Jackson, Wright, Farrakhan, Sharpton, and others drum up hatred and perpetuate bigotry and prejudice in this country. Americans are better than for which people give them credit. We are better than our backward thinking bigotry of Selma, Alabama and the Mississippi murder of Emmett Till. We’re better than the reputation we’re given by ungrateful Europeans we’ve spilled our blood for in wars spanning centuries. We’re better than looking at a man’s skin color to determine the value of his character. I’m tired of Americans being accused otherwise. This day has revealed a new America. An America was revealed without pretenses and without prejudices. The nation spoke and it spoke clearly and loudly. Pulling away from injustice and tyranny was how this great nation was founded. Ironically, it has become our Renaissance.

The other bright spot in this election will be our renewed presence throughout the world. Another terrorist attack is eminent. The savage reality of religious zealots and hatred will show itself again. People have forgotten the anger and hatred laid upon us that horrific day in September, but Islamic extremist will remind us at every turn with every effort they can muster. Biden said Obama will be tested and I wholeheartedly and regretfully agree; however, when that dreadful day comes, we will have allies. We can stand abreast with other nations that have alienated themselves from us through the last 8 years because of alleged intolerance and bullying policies. We will see how long it takes for these countries to abandon us again in our time of peril and retribution. Time will tell. President elect Obama and his administration has a tough row to hoe moving into this time of conflict abroad and economic distress. Barack Obama has earned his place in the White House. It’s up to him, to earn his place in our nation’s history of great leadership and sound governing.

Tonight Millions of Americans Stopped Worrying About Mortgages and Gasoline...

**Correction**
Al Franken loses. I don't have to be ashamed anymore. I'm pretty sure I have to thank my Minnesotan friend, Aaron. Like P. Diddy, the omnipotence he felt in the voting booth allowed him to cast the deciding vote. In a related story, I wonder if Michelle Obama has still never been proud of her country?

Thanks, Brian, for making me ill...

I tried for 10 minutes to supplement this insanity with funny commentary, but I couldn't concentrate from all the crying and gagging. I actually never thought this day would come either. The "US Americans" have reached a new level of intellectual ineptitude.

Obama Wants to Redistribute 40% of Your Child's Halloween Candy...Oh and Your Money.

I have been trying to find the positive attributes of Barack Obama, especially since he'll probably be our President. For instance, his ears are kind of funny. And, I think it would be awesome to see the President playing pickup basketball games at Rucker Park on 155th in Manhattan. All joking aside though, I think that the President should always be respected. You can disagree with ideology, personal behavior, but the Office of the Presidency should be respected. This latest interview from Chicago Public Radio in 2001, however, is the proverbial straw. It's not our right to have money. It's not our right to be fiscally stable. Our rights are simply the protection from infringement from the governement or any other party that would affect our lives, our liberties, or our properties. Socialism has never worked. In an article, Why Socialism Failed, Mark J Perry writes about it's shortcomings.

"Socialism is the Big Lie of the twentieth century. While it promised prosperity, equality, and security, it delivered poverty, misery, and tyranny. Equality was achieved only in the sense that everyone was equal in his or her misery.

In the same way that a Ponzi scheme or chain letter initially succeeds but eventually collapses, socialism may show early signs of success. But any accomplishments quickly fade as the fundamental deficiencies of central planning emerge. It is the initial illusion of success that gives government intervention its pernicious, seductive appeal. In the long run, socialism has always proven to be a formula for tyranny and misery.

A pyramid scheme is ultimately unsustainable because it is based on faulty principles. Likewise, collectivism is unsustainable in the long run because it is a flawed theory. Socialism does not work because it is not consistent with fundamental principles of human behavior. The failure of socialism in countries around the world can be traced to one critical defect: it is a system that ignores incentives.

In a capitalist economy, incentives are of the utmost importance. Market prices, the profit-and-loss system of accounting, and private property rights provide an efficient, interrelated system of incentives to guide and direct economic behavior. Capitalism is based on the theory that incentives matter!"

I'm no Warren Buffett. I didn't learn economic principles from Ben Graham, but I can deduce that there are no incentives if your income is redistributed. What's the point of success? If the principles are, "From each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs," as Marx insisted, then why excel in anything?

There needs to be an explanation of this video by Barack Obama, but I bet you won't even get a peep of this on most news networks. This level of biased journalism is unprecedented. I hope America is more awake than we appear.
